We left Zadar very early this morning – there was a strong storm moving in and the Captain wanted to try to get to Pula ahead of the storm. The sea was very bouncy – it didn’t really agree with me. As I was feeling overheated, although my skin felt cool, I laid down on the bench seating at the back of the yacht and dozed. After a while I was feeling better but when I went inside I found that all the chairs had been knocked akimbo by the bouncy conditions.

The Captain decided on another change in plan and changed course to Mali Lošinj, a small town with a sheltered harbour which had been on the original holiday plan. We obviously weren’t the only ones who decided to change course – the boats in the harbour were three abreast in some places!

Once we docked Mum and I went back to bed – the yacht engines weren’t half noisy from our cabin!

We got up in time for lunch before going out for a short walk around the harbour. We returned to the yacht where I set up shop in the inside lounge whilst Mum ventured out for a longer walk. I watched as she walked around the harbour. Then the storm reached us -  thunder, lightning and torrential rain. Mum returned soaked! At least it was warm rain.
